Angry mob kills man mistaken for St Thomas ‘abductor' (video)

On Wednesday morning, an enraged mob assassinated a man who had been mistakenly identified as the suspect in the recent kidnapping of two girls in Bath, St Thomas.

At around 8 a.m., the incident occurred in Llandewey, St Thomas.

Stephanie Lindsay, Senior Superintendent of Police and head of the force's Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), confirmed the mob-killing incident.

"A mob assassinated the man in St Thomas shortly after 8 a.m. today. Detectives are still on the scene and have discovered that the man who was killed is not Davian Bryan "Lindsay explained.
According to police reports, the now-deceased man was seen walking down the main road in Llandewey when he was approached by residents armed with machetes.

He allegedly fled into the bushes and across the Yallahs River, but was pursued by the mob, with several wounds inflicted on his body.

He was then taken to the hospital by police, but he was pronounced dead there.
